Hi,

I have one WordPress websites with thousands of posts. I have noticed that my database size is too large and it is due to WordPress post revisions. I am frequently updating the posts and it is auto saving WordPress posts. I am seeing large number of WordPress post revisions for all posts and I believe this should be causing large database size issue.

How can I disable WordPress post revisions or at least limit the number of post revisions so that it does not consume database space.

Fixing WordPress / Admin Ajax php excessive hit

My site is still in the configuration stages, however, there has been a large number of pageviews on the admin ajax php page. This has sent up my CPU and resulted in my hosting provider disabling the site. I upgraded the host plan, but the problem still persists.

I also disabled all plugins but I am still not clear on what might be causing the issue.

I am not a developer so I am really not sure what is causing the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Chris,

This can happen if you have uploaded wrong theme file. Please ensure that you have uploaded a zip file containing all necessary files/folder including theme's CSS file. You can download the theme from your vendor and try again.

I am trying to set up everything on my windows:

(1) MySQL is installed and running, but I am having issues connect a user (me) to the database

(2) Apache is running with no errors

(3) PHP is running with no errors

I can't get passed this error.

2. For some reason, the enable Media Replace plugin does not work (the plugin only shows the downloaded new image, click the replace button and... the old image remains in the Gallery. Click the Edit image button and see the new image. Such a glitch. All other plugins are disabled.)

Yes, it is possible. You will need to setup your local system to support PHP/MySQL and a web server. You can use the software like XAMPP in your server which will allow you to run PHP and MySQL in your local system and you will be able to install WordPress using XAMPP.
